Herman A. Lohse, Sr. founded Herman's Plumbing in 1950, beginning with residential furnace replacements, small plumbing repairs, and service work for local homeowners.
As Colorado Springs grew, the company expanded into custom homes, apartment complexes, schools, commercial buildings, municipal water mains, fire hydrants, gas stations, warehouses, and major projects at the U.S. Air Force Academy and NORAD. At its peak, the operation employed more than 100 people. Today, the family-owned company brings that broad project background to residential and light-commercial plumbing, drain, sewer, water-heating, water-treatment, excavation, and trenchless work.
